Benfica has just fired Rui Vitória, but there are already plenty of names being talked about to replace him. Jorge Jesus, Vítor Pereira, Paulo Fonseca, José Peseiro and Rui Faria have all been on the table to replace Vitória in Benfica’s bench. But the club’s board appears to have already chosen his successor. Former Porto, Spain and Real Madrid manager, Julen Lopetegui appears set to coach Benfica for the rest of the season and should be close to be announced by the portuguese club. Confirmation should arrive in the next few hours.
