Local Grants Pass resident, Harry Knight, is the sole recipient of the largest Oregon lottery Powerball jackpot in recorded history. The 173 million winning ticket has been verified and Mr. Knight is awaiting his check at an undisclosed location in a remote Oregon resort. When interviewed by phone, Mr. Knight was very excited and had this to say, "I am very thankful and blessed. I have waited my whole life to be rich enough to be able throw things away that accidentally fall in the toilet.". When we asked what was the first thing he was going to do with the money he responded, " Well, that a tough one." "There will be some going to charity for sure." "I have always had a lifelong desire to hire 11 little people dressed like a pit crew that can run out of a closet when I get up and make my bed." " I also have been practicing calling my comforter a duvet and am currently learning the names of all the different lettuce." We wish Mr. Knight the best in his new found wealth.
