For anyone that missed the live stream, yes Elwin is not in the band unfortunately.

We were all very excited to work together but after a long personal conversation we came to the mutual understanding that things weren’t going to work out between his personal life’s priorities and where the band wanted to go. He simply doesn’t have the luxury of available time with the things required of him in his personal life, with how quickly the rest of us are ready to make moves.

There’s absolutely no hard feelings or anything negative between us, we’re all bummed but it’s just the reality of the situation that it isn’t in his best interest to risk certain things and play out the way the rest of us are wanting to. It’s up to Elwin if he wants to share any of the personal information but at the end of the day we respect each other and wish each other the best. We were excited to work together but after these past few months it was getting clear it just wasn’t going to work as everyone wasn’t on the same page.

We know it looks baaaad and adds to the confusion and ‘drama’ (though there isn’t any drama in this case) but all we are doing is giving the album all we have to offer and when it’s released it will sound like a badass Spring Break Massacre record.

Personally I feel I’m in an odd position since the SBM fan base will expect denis level of vocals from me, which I am not denis. He’s a monster vocalist and I love his voice, however I am the vocalist that I am. While I am happy with how my singing is sounding on this record so far I know I’m going to be put into a box on not being ‘as good’ as Elwin which doesn’t bother me as its a given being a vocal replacement. Since the people in this group are huge fans of the Spring Break Massacre sound all I can say is that I appreciate anyone who’s willing to give me a chance to deliver you guys a solid performance and killer album. This band has had a very chaotic history to say the LEAST haha, but for my tastes this record sounds like the SBM album I would have loved to hear in the first place.

I don’t want to over hype anything since that’s kinda all this band has been at this point and is one big tease haha but I appreciate anyone who’s stuck by the name and is ready to move forward with us. I can’t wait to strengthen relationships with the SBM audience. Here’s to the future!
