After the recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Disney is in talk to purchase Sony Pictures for $41.6 billion. In doing so Disney will claim all of Sony’s film franchise and full rights of all Spider-Man characters will go back to Marvel Studios. If Sony takes the offer then all rights to the Sony properties will be in Disney’s hands by February 2020.
