Corey carter, 12 years old was found injured and on the verge of dying earlier this morning on Burdette Ave from several gun shot wounds.
Reports say this young man did not immediately pass away from several gun shot wounds to the chest, head, and legs, and pronounced dead at 7:20 AM passed in the hospital from these injuries. Eye witnesses say that they saw five men wearing all black were running away from the crime seen after seven gun shots went off. We contacted his mother and she had to say this about her sons terrible death,”I wish it was me instead, my baby boy did not deserve to die this way. I hope that the men who committed this unforgivable crime will be found and spend the rest of their lives in jail. If the police cannot find them I will dedicate the rest of my life trying to do what they couldn’t.”
We also contacted some more of Corey Carter’s friends and family, one of his friends, who does not want to be identified, had to say this about his friends passing,”He was one of my best friends, I hope the men who killed him gets murdered in the same exact way, so they can feel as he did.”
Before his passing Corey Carter was extremely interested in sports, the school he attended, Plaza Park International Prep Academy has decided to dedicate a memorial that will be held on the 20th of September. The principal says that everyone will write the sentence on the sidewalk in front of the school,”Rest In Peace.” Or will be able to draw a basketball.
The whole community sends regards to his friends and family. We hope that his killers are found immediately and are punished for their crimes.
