The Battle Royale game will turn 3 next year, but sadly, they will close down in Season 12. According to the official account, it has suffered an IP related lawsuit. Remember PUBG v. Epic? Well, Bluehole, the South Korean based company has filed another lawsuit against Epic again. The case has won. The plaintiff (PUBG) will be receiving $1.1 billion, and a request of the closure of the game.
"We are sad to close down this game, but it's for its own good," says Donald Mustard, creative director of Epic Games.
