The McDonalds fast food chain restaurant is being closed due to legal issues with the CEO and other corporate workers. The CEO, Steve Easterbrook, is accused of insider trading on the New York Stock Exchange in order to gain an unfair, competitive advantage in the fast food chain industry. A plea deal was made with Burger King and Wendy’s that if the McDonalds CEO, Steve Easterbrook, closed all locations of the franchise and resigned— then they would not press chargers. It is unfortunate to know thousands of employees will be going out of business and we wish the best to those families.
