A mecca teen known as Daniel sotelo was shot dead by law enforcement. Earlier on 10/10/19 there was a report of a teenager assaulting a senior citizen couple. Witnesses identified the attacker as Daniel sotelo. He had been on the run for three days but eventually found in thermal ave 66 when a deputy conducted a vehicle infraction stop. The deputy identified him as the perpetrator from the Mecca assault and ordered Daniel to step out of his vehicle he refused and several minutes later got out of his Camaro and began shooting at the deputy. He was shot in the head no deputies were injured in this incidents
