WORLD NEWS: A large teaching/research hospital in Germany decided to rather hire people who have spent a few hours 'doing their own research' -looking up stuff- on the Internet and to let the qualified staff go. Why pay salaries to people who have done several years of intensive science based study when you can rather use ordinary folk like mums who have spent only 50 - 100 hours on the Internet looking for stuff that matches their beliefs. Qualified medical specialists can tear up their training degrees.
A hospital spokesperson said**
"The hospital could make great savings employing people who recommend 'treatments' that are based on folk tales, witchcraft and cult remedies. We don't need evidence based medicines any more, - faith and anecdotal stories are good enough. It doesn't matter that people have been using these remedies, some of them for thousands of years in spite of the fact that they can't work because they are implausible or that they lack evidence of efficacy beyond placebo.
The hospitals new Marketing Manager, Ms Rainbow Schwachsinn added
"Because the surgery theatres will no longer be needed, we plan to use them as kiosks. they will sell everything from dietary supplements, organic products, healing crystals, Tarot cards, right through to Essential oils, Detox kits and Magnetic Healing Bracelets"
