The struggling Sacramento Kings will relocate to San Diego in the 2022-23 NBA Season, team owner Vivek Samad has announced. ‘’The franchise has had some tough times in Sacramento, and although we love our Sacramento fans dearly, we feel that now is the time for a new era in the Kings basketball history.’’ It is San Diego’s second stint with an NBA franchise, they were the city of the Clippers from 1974-1978 before relocating in 1979.
