Health officials have confirmed the first nine cases of the new strain of coronavirus in (3) Los Angeles and (6) Orange counties, brought by travelers who came from the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, China.

In both counties, the virus infecting the nine individuals was the same strain as the one that has spread to more than 2,700 people in 14 countries and territories and caused 80 deaths since it was discovered late last month in central China.

The following cities that have had people diagnosed with the virus in Orange County are (3)Tustin, (2)Irvine, and (1)Santa Ana. Health officials recommend to stay indoors as much as you can and avoid people that have flu like symptoms. Wash hands at all times and avoid putting your hands near you mouth, nose, and eyes.
