Local teens Shia Lorenzano and Parker Labonte have officially been dating for two years. They have both shared appreciation posts for one another on social media. As a result, their friends and followers are going crazy over their adorable relationship. We interviewed Lorenzano to get her insight on this milestone. “Really, I’m shocked that he has dealt with me for this long”, she says. “I can be a very annoying girlfriend. But I really hope he can cope with me for the rest of his life, because I swear, I’m gonna marry him.” The couple can agree that this kind of love is rare for people their age. At only fourteen years old, they both think that their love for each other is often misunderstood by fellow teens and adults. They say they are glad to break the stigma of middle school relationships. Here at The Slap, we wish them the best for many years to come.
