According to Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida college students may have to adapt to online instruction permanently due to the COVID-19 crisis. The biggest news comes out of Florida State University, where officials went a step further and announced they will indefinitely provide online-only education. Students have been out of school for nearly a month and all courses already have been shifted to an online format for the duration of the Spring and Summer semesters, but the drastic move by FSU is the first of its kind for any major university nationwide. It remains to be seen what will happen to the historic FSU campus in Tallahassee, but more universities are expected to follow. Parents and students across the state are weighing in with mixed reactions, but one thing is for sure--the April 1st announcement of this decision should explain the choice!
