The original KING KONG (1933) is finally getting a major upgrade later this year: a 4K release with its legendary stop motion effects replaced by state of the art CGI. A publicity spokesperson explained that they were hoping to make the 1933 KONG more appealing to young people. “Kids don’t like the old effects. So we are going to fix those and update the New York skyline too” the spokesperson explained. “Times change.”
