St Tammany Parish President, Mike Cooper announced Wednesday evening that starting Thursday residents will have a mandatory 9pm curfew. During his evening press conference Cooper said “This is for the safety of our residents, we will have random checkpoints throughout the parish. Anyone who does not have proof of residence in St Tammany will be subject to fines, and or incarceration time.” Residents responses to this new order is both good, and bad. Mike understands that many will be upset, but continues to say this is for the greater good, and that sacrifices need to be made.
