A reptile believed to be a very poisonous Cobra has been spotted along the river in South Point. A young couple spotted the dancing reptile while walking their young child and dog along the street overlooking the Ohio River. Witness stated the reptile “ stood up and swayed back and forth in a dancing motion”. As the weather has caused the river to maintain a lower level, as well as lack of rain, the water level is about a foot to foot and half lower than usual. Residents are asked to keep watch for this rare species of snake to the area. If spotted, contact SPPD or the Game Warden. With cooler weather on the way, reptiles will be seeking warm sun lite areas.
