Brian Quinn, known by fans and Jokers as Q, announced via Instagram video that he has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus).

Quinn, 44, revealed the news with a statement on Wednesday. He was in Farmingdale, New York filming the new ninth season of Impractical Jokers with the Tenderloins (him, along with friends Joe Gatto, James "Murr" Murray, and Sal Vulcano).

Quinn is the only known individual on the show to contract the disease, insiders said. Season 9 is currently in production stages, meaning cameras are rolling, and there are still preparations being made to shoot. Testing measures for cast and crew are presently unknown.

TruTV, the distributor behind the show, issued a statement shortly after Brian Quinn went public.

“We have been made aware that a company member from Impractical Jokers, which is currently in production in New York, has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus),” the statement reads. “We are working closely with the appropriate New York health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment.”
