In 1991 the USSR formaly colapsed and broke into 14 new countries. Ever since then russian leaders have dreamed of reunifying the USSR back to its former glory. The communist party of russia and its leader Gennady Zyuganov have expressed their desire to retake back lost soviet territory. With the annextation of crimea to the russian fedration and putins last years as leader have really started to put the communist party ahead of other partys in russia. Gennady Zyuganov once said that "ukraine and belarus will fall first, then will be followed by the baltic countries and so on".
