Clifford announced today that he is stepping down as Magic head coach. This decision has come to many as a surprise when Clifford said to reporters after their win against the Clippers that “Magic need to focus on tanking from here on out to ensure themselves of drafting a franchise player and they will not achieve that as long as I’m here because they play too hard and don’t know how to lose on purpose.”
