Just weeks after signing a 14 year extension, the 23 year old shortstop prodigy for the San Diego Padres has been sent to the Baltimore Orioles in a massive 9 player deal.* Also being sent to Baltimore are San Diego's 5 and 13 prospects, along with outfielder Wil Myers and cash considerations. Headed to San Diego to replace Tatis Jr and Myers are Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins, first baseman Chris Davis, and pitchers Tyler Wells, Hunter Harvey and Bruce Zimmerman. When asked about the trade, Padres GM A.J Preller stated "I was a business man, doing business", quoting Donald Trump's state of the union speech in 2017.
