Incarcerated rapper DaBaby has had new charges bought against him while in prison in North Carolina on gun charges. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have also charged Jonathan Kirk with robbery and battery stemming from a arrest on January 2, 2020 when he was arrested in Miami. He also had accessory to second-degree murder and simple and aggravated assault added to his list of charges. The simple and aggravated assault charge stems from when back in 2020 while on his "Up Close N Personal" tour, he slapped a female fan on his way to the stage for a performance in Tampa, Florida. The accessory to second-degree murder charge stems from when two of his associate's caused a shooting on South Beach, Florida. Before he was taken in to custody that day while Miami-Dade police searched him they found a firearm on Kirk. With these added charges, he now faces a maximum sentence of 17 years if convicted.
