Mario Kart Tour is the new mobile game that's sweeping the nation after it's North American release last week. Some gamers, however, began to point out the numerous microtransactions, such as the premium pass which is a $5 dollar per month premium membership. Players have also noticed that Mario Kart Tour has no multiplayer mode, and many suspect the other 7 opponents in every race to simply be bots. Well situations have not gotten much better, as the Mario Kart Tour official Twitter account just tweeted out that players will have to pay a minimum of 10 dollars per month for access to Online Multiplayer. This is not a joke. Nintendo locked a staple mode of Mario Kart behind a paywall that costs twice as much as the Premium Pass, and you still can't even race in online 200cc races unless you have the Premium Pass. Nintendo has received a large amount of backlash, and it's safe to say that Nintendo fans are not happy.
