A new breed of cat named the Romani ?ase picioare (Romani Six Legs) has been found in Romania. Only 50 cats of the breed exist and that they are extremely rare. You couldn’t go into a random pet shop and ask for one. 30 (15) of the breed live in Plopleni, a Romanian town with a population of 7,718, and 12 (6) live in Miercurea Sibiului, another Romanian town with a lower population of 3,792.
They are illegal to own and adopt as they are so rare and are looked after by each mayor/mayoress of the towns they live in.
