The University of Kentucky will now require students to take summer classes while they are attending the university. This new decision has come after data showing most students decline in knowledge over their summer break. The university urges students to keep educating themselves over the break even though they are not in school. Students attending the university will be required to take summer classes in order to be considered a full time student and stay enrolled in the school. This new schedule with start in summer 2023 and students have the option to attend school in person or asynchronous, but must be participating in at least 12 credit hours during the summer months.
